In practice, required parts are immediately identified (sourced and located), and an urgent priority shipment is dispatched to the affected aircraft's location - or other specified accepting authority - by the assigned AOG Action Officer. These actions are initiated upon notification of an AOG tail number and receipt of shipping instructions.
